Stuart and Flo welcome you to Na Mara Restaurant, Gairloch
The building itself is over 100 years old and used to be called Clifton House. In the Gairloch Heritage Museum you can find postcards to the old occupants of the house and a photograph of the street in which you can see where Na Mara Restaurant, Strath Post Office and Strath Stores (Mace) are now situated. Since being converted and extended into business premises on the ground floor and a flat on the first and second floors (also called Clifton) it has been various businesses including a hairdressers, a clothes shop and a gift shop. From Na Mara Restaurant you can admire the picturesque view out to Loch Gairloch and over to Badachro You might even spot porpoises, whales, seals, dolphins and a variety of seabirds or take one of the boat trips from the harbour for a closer view.
